Hanukah, Bar Mitvah, and a little Jew in Chicago

We made the trek out to Chicago to attend Dan's cousin's Bar Mitzvah. It was a big 3 day event, including Hanukah, birthdays, religious services, and lots of eating, drinking, and dancing. We often had to leave the services (as Joe was pretty talkative) and we'd hang out in the temple's lobby. Joe's favorite hang out spot was the coat room....which was full of fur coats. Joe would say "woof" then pet and snuggle each one. I think he must have missed Lulu. We even had a speaking part in the bar mitzvah ceremony, where we said a prayer (fortunately in English). A fun, full, and wild weekend. A first for Joe and Jill.
We're glad we are home :)

Little Jew....kicked out of the temple (not really)

Ho Ho Ho Santa is in town!

I took Joe to meet Santa Claus at the mall (of course). Joe wouldn't smile for the camera....but was very interested in reading a book with him. I think Joe is a bigger fan of the Easter Bunny. At least he didn't scream :)

Merry Christmas

Brrr...It is cold up here

We've been having cold, dry weather in Oregon...which is actually nice (since it isn't raining). We've been bundling up and going out on strolls. Joe is trying out his new down jacket...which is really puffy and will come in handy for our trip to Chicago next week.

Joe hates this hat....and usually pulls it off immediately. Maybe he knows it makes him look like a baby?

Bathing Beauties - Joe & Josie

Joe and I were lucky enough to spend time with Em and Josie. We went swimming with the girls and Diane too. We also drove over to Petaluma to have dinner with Em, Josie, and a dear old friend, Julie, that we've known since elementary school. At the end of the day Joe and Josie jumped in the bathtub and had a great time. Miss Josie likes to style Joe's hair...and wash his back. They are sure fun girls!

We took Joe to his first baseball game...The Eugene Ems (Emeralds) vs. Vancouver, Canada. Joe really liked the food and the crowds' cheers!

Hangin' with Daddy

We got a seat for Daddy's truck...so now Joe and Daddy can go to the river, hardware store, and lumber yard on the weekends. Joe loves hangin' with his daddy....and he loves eating his cereal!

Fire Truck

Joe got to hang with some local fire fighters (truck #10) and sit in their really cool truck!

Happy Birthday Joe

One year ago Joseph Tex Beaman came into our lives. We are so happy to be Joe's parents. He's the funniest, sweetest, and cutest little boy. He makes us laugh and smile everyday. We can't wait to see what he's going to do next. Happy Birthday, little cowboy, we love you!
