We got our first snow of the season the week of Thanksgiving. It didn't last long...but Joe and Lulu sure enjoyed it. There's also a photo of Tex's new boots...so cute!

Whipped Cream

Joe and I take morning walks (Joe on his Strider bike, of course) to the neighborhood coffee shop (Quick Fix). Lately, Joe has been requesting a milk steamer. He loves the topping of whipped cream that is squirted onto the top of the straw. What a treat!

Feet are UP

3 weeks after learning to ride his Strider Bike....Joe's feet are off the ground! We are having so much fun watching him bike. It is really amazing!

Mountain Biking

We took Joe and Lulu up to Waldo Lake over the weekend to go for a mountain bike ride....it was Joe's first and he LOVED riding around the lake on the single track trails. He went well over a mile and then Daddy towed him back in the Chariot trailer. Lulu was happy to run alongside and take dips in the lake. Afterwards we snacked on the beach. A friend of Daddy's happen to paddle by in a canoe and offered Joe his first ride. Joe LOVED the canoe. It was a beautiful Fall morning. We can't wait to go back to Waldo Lake.

Biking Day 7

Here's a video of Joe biking on campus today. He's getting closer and closer to "striding" on his bike. Other bikers and walkers on campus stop to watch and comment on the little 2 year old biker

Joe Biking Day 2

Strider Bike

Joe got a Strider Bike for his 2nd birthday. He looked at the bike for about a month...talked about it, touched it, and picked it up a few times. On Thursday, he decided it was the day to start riding. There's no stopping him now. He rides it several times a day and loves it. Auntie Stephanie gave him a big silver bell for the bike. Joe loves to stop and ring it when other bikers go by. It is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Easter Egg Hunting

Our friends invited us to their family's Easter egg hunt and brunch. Joe quickly got the whole idea of egg hunting. In no time he had a full basket. He then offered all of his treasures to his buddies and the dog. The bunny would be so proud! After the egg hunt....Joe enjoyed some Easter ham....a new favorite of his :)

Help around the house

Here are 2 photos of Joe doing what he does most mornings around the house. For some reason he likes to wear his blankie on his head, put his mimi in his mouth and dust around the house with his broom. When his blankie falls off...he walks over to me and lowers his head so that I can put it back on his head...just right. If only he would do some "actual" cleaning. Such a silly boy :)

Silly Boy

Joe is feeling so much better this week. Last week we had to spend two days at the hospital because Joe had RSV and pneumonia. It was a bit scary....but we caught it all early. Joe seems so happy these days just to be feeling healthy. We're having a great time and working through the emotional issues of an 1.5 year old :)

Emotional Joe does yard work

We had a great weekend with sunny weather. Joe got to wear his new rain boots and hang out in the front yard with our neighbor. Here are some photos of the many "Highs" and "Lows" that Joe experiences EVERYDAY :)
